- RLDA to lease land parcel in Ludhiana at Rs 108 crore
"Ludhiana is an industrial and commercial hub of Punjab, making it one of the significant places of the state. The site proposed to be redeveloped is located at a point strategically connected with other major parts of the state. - Punjab: Ludhiana blast suspect a sacked cop with alleged links to drug mafia
The man killed in the Ludhiana district court blast is learnt to have been identified as Gagandeep Singh, a Punjab Police head constable who was dismissed from service. Singh was a resident of Khanna in Ludhiana and was dismissed from the post of head constable in connection with a drugs-related case in 2019, police sources said.

Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi on Thursday said as the Assembly polls are drawing near, some anti-national forces are trying spread anarchy in the state. Channi said this after a bomb blast in the Ludhiana district courts complex left one person dead and five injured. Punjab Congress chief Navjot Singh Sidhu termed it a "planned conspiracy" to create a law and order problem in Punjab.

Farmers in Ludhiana thanked Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh-led Punjab government for the timely procurement of wheat crop in grain market. Farmers at a procurement centre in Ludhiana were delighted with the sale as well as the arrangements at the facility. For more than five months, farmers are protesting in and around Delhi against the Centre’s three agriculture laws.
