Ludhiana (Punjab), July 04 (ANI): Amid pandemic when people are conscious about their immunity, Ludhiana based College of Fisheries has developed rich protein biscuits to boost the immunity of the people. Assistant Professor of College of Fisheries, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, thought of making high protein biscuits by seeing people consuming lot of unhealthy snacks during lockdown. Singh used fishes to make biscuits as fishes are one of the prime sources of high quality protein. Except protein, these fish biscuits are also enriched with high fiber. Ragi and oats is being used to add fiber in these biscuits. These high protein biscuits have all the quality of normal biscuits and do not have fishy odor, so that children can eat these delicious biscuits without any hesitation. Pandemic has taught us about focusing on out health.

Ludhiana, May 22 (ANI): Social distancing norms disappeared at Government Girls College COVID vaccination centre in Ludhiana. People, who were in a hurry to get jabbed, paid no heed to COVID SOPs. According to Councilor Mamta Ashu, “It's our responsibility to maintain social distancing. There's rush after vaccination for 18+ started. Till y'day around 7-8 lakh people vaccinated in Ludhiana.”

- Five children among six die after drowning in Ludhiana
Ludhiana (Punjab), May 15 (ANI): At least five children and a man lost their lives after drowning into a pond in Punjab’s Ludhiana. The 22-year-old man, jumped into the pond to save the children from drowning, but unfortunately lost his life too. Among five children, three were girls. The incident occurred in Mangarh village in Ludhiana. Ex-gratia of Rs 50,000 has been announced for the families of each deceased.

- Radha Soami Satsang sets up COVID centres in Ludhiana
Ludhiana (Punjab), May 14 (ANI): Amid rising cases of COVID-19 in Punjab, Radha Soami Satsang has extended support by setting up two COVID centres in Ludhiana with 110 beds each. These COVID centres are equipped with necessary medical equipments including oxygen cylinders. With spiking COVID cases everyday in the city, these COVID centres aim to ease the demand of beds for patients. Recently, Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh sought support of Radha Soami Satsang Beas. Members of the Satsang are also actively engaged in "langar seva”.

The temporary jails located at New SD School on Bahadur Ke Road, indoor stadium at Pakhowal Road, Guru Nanak Stadium and Valmiki Bhawan in Moti Nagar. Speaking to ANI, Ludhiana’s Joint CP Deepak Pareek said that anyone seen roaming after 12 pm without curfew pass to be fined and kept in temporary jails. “Anyone seen roaming after 12 pm without curfew pass to be fined and kept in temporary jails set up in four zones. New curfew timing from 12 pm - 5 am that has been put in place today will be effective till further orders,” said Ludhiana’s Joint CP. - Ludhiana Shocker: 60 - Year - Old Man Kills Wife, Calls Police to Confess The Crime
In a shocking incident, a man in Punjab's Ludhiana alledgely murdered his wife on Thursday, and called up the police to inform about the same. As per report, the accused identified as Ramesh Kumar, who is a truck driver, stabbed her wife multiple times with a knife at her residence. The deceased identified as Jaswinder Kaur reportedly worked as a domestic help.
