A video of gangster Manwinder Singh, alias Nikka Jattana, along with other jail inmates, lodged in Ludhiana Central Jail, has surfaced in which they are seen allegedly having liquor and smoking hookah. In the background, the inmates could be seen having fun while music is being played on the LED TV screen. While jail officials told TOI that they didn't have the video of the incident, they said a probe has been launched on the basis of some photos that they had received.

- Radha Soami Satsang sets up COVID centres in Ludhiana
Amid rising cases of COVID-19 in Punjab, Radha Soami Satsang has extended support by setting up two COVID centres in Ludhiana with 110 beds each. These COVID centres are equipped with necessary medical equipment including oxygen cylinders. With spiking COVID cases everyday in the city, these COVID centres aim to ease the demand of beds for patients. Recently, Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh sought support of Radha Soami Satsang Beas. Members of the Satsang are also actively engaged in "langar seva”.
