      Ludhiana December 22After a married woman committed suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling fan at her in-laws residence in Chaunta village the Koom Kalan police registered a case of abetment to suicide against the woman's husband and her in-laws. The booked accused are deceased's husband Jang Singh his father Dilbag Singh mother Kuldeep Kaur and sister Manpreet Kaur. Deceased's father Karnail Singh said his daughter got married to the accused in 2017. “My daughter cannot commit suicide she was strangled to death by her husband and in-laws and later they gave it a shape of suicide. Even the deceased's three-year-old son told us that she was killed by his father Karnail said.

      Ludhiana December 21The police have booked Rachit Kumar a resident of Babbalgarh in Haryana charging him under Section 509 IPC and 66(d)/67 IT Act for allegedly sending obscene messages to a married woman Sukhjinder Kaur Garcha (38) a resident of Green Field in the Model Town area. In a complaint to the police Prminder Singh husband of the woman said the suspect had set up a fake Facebook account in the name of Monika Kaduja and sent indecent messages to his wife through it. The police said efforts were being made to apprehend the suspect.

      Ludhiana: The police have booked Roshan Masih a resident of Tibba Colony in Mundian Khurd under Section 324 Indian Penal Code (IPC) for allegedly stabbing and injuring his sister Monika. The complainant told the police that her brother had come home in an inebriated condition on the night of December 18 and started vomiting. She said when she scolded him for his conduct the suspect lost his temper and stabbed her with a kitchen knife.       Ludhiana December 20Residents paid tributes to farmers who have died during the ongoing agitation against the three farm Acts. Residents in a large number gathered on the Railway road outside the district office of the BJP where tributes were paid to them. Members of the Shiv Sena Hindustan Congress Kisan Cell Jan Shakti Morcha and several other social groups took part in the event. Krishan Sharma and Chandarkant Chadha of the Shiv Sena Hindustan said two-minute silence was also observed at the site for the departed souls. They said over 30 farmers have sacrificed their lives in the ongoing agitation and now the Central Government should withdraw these Acts and should provide Rs 1-crore compensation to kin of the farmers died in the protest.
