Ludhiana: As part of the ongoing National Road Safety Month the city traffic police on Wednesday conducted an awareness programme for auto-rickshaw drivers. In the event they were made aware about the traffic rules and road safety guidelines. The auto-rickshaw drivers in a large number took part in the event and assured the police that they would follow all road safety guidelines. The ACP said the city had hundreds of auto-rickshaws and if their drivers follow the traffic rules roads would be safe for all. Notably the Ludhiana police have been organising traffic awareness activities in the city daily in which a cross section of people are being invited for discussion and interaction.

The Koom Kalan police have registered a case against the accused Pawandeep Singh of Bilga village Bunty Gujjar of Sahnewal and 15 unidentified persons.
