Ludhiana December 24Recurrent traffic snarls at Samrala Chowk one of the busiest junctions in Ludhiana has finally attracted the attention of officials.
Taking note of the problem Sanjay Talwar MLA Ludhiana (East) along with Neeru Katyal Gupta Additional Deputy Commissioner Jagraon on Thursday held on-site discussions with the civil and police officials concerned at the Samrala chowk junction to solve the traffic issue here.
During the meeting the officials discussed issues including land acquisition entry-exit to bypass road and widening of service lanes.
MLA Sanjay Talwar asked the officials to see the feasibility to give direct access from Transport Nagar to bypass bridge so that heavy vehicles need not enter the city which leads to traffic jam.
