Tribune News ServiceLudhiana December 2The Alumni Association of College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology (COAE&T) Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) organised an online annual alumni meet e-Moments-2020 which was joined by around 300 alumni along with their family members.
The alumni meet was also joined by former Deans of the College and other Deans Directors and Officers of the university.
He exhorted the alumni to stay connected with their alma-mater through alumni association and enhance the brand COAE&T as they are the ambassadors of the proud institution.
He also appreciated the efforts of the alumni association of the college to connect with its alumni through the mentorship programme.

Tribune News ServiceLudhiana December 3Smart City CCTV cameras helped the Ludhiana police in tracing two accused who had raped a 30-year-old mentally challenged married woman.
The accused were identified as Rishi Raj of Bhagat Singh Colony an auto-rickshaw driver and his friend Gurmeet of Sherpur.
JCP (City) Bhagirath Singh Meena ADCP Deepak Pareek and Police Division 4 SHO Inspector Satwant Singh addressed mediapersons in this regard.
In the wee hours of the next morning the auto-rickshaw driver dropped her at the Jalandhar bypass and fled the spot.

Tribune News ServiceLudhiana December 3Five persons died and two girls suffered serious injuries in accidents reported in Ludhiana district and Khanna.
Both of them had suffered serious injuries and were shifted to a hospital where doctors declared them brought dead.
Later the bike rider identified as Abhishek who had also suffered serious injuries also succumbed to his injuries.
The second incident was reported in Khanna in which a pedestrian was found dead on the road near the Ramgarhia Bhawan in Khanna City.

Nikhil BhardwajTribune News ServiceLudhiana December 2The kidnapping of a two-and-a-half-year-old child Vinamr son of a hotel owner Pankaj Gupta had put the Ludhiana police on toes.
Recovering the child safely was a challenge for the police as the kidnappers were making repeated threatening calls to the owner for a ransom of Rs 4 crore.
Driver had killed a child in 2010 CP Rakesh Agrawal said the accused driver Harinderpal and his three aides had a notorious past.
In 2010 the driver had also kidnapped a child from Arniwal village in Fazilka and later killed him.
They were also ready to pay the ransom money as they wanted their child to remain safe but the police operation mounted pressure over the kidnappers and the child was rescued safely.
