Epilepsy is a chronic non-communicable disorder of the brain that affects people of all ages but in most cases it can be successfully treated with anti-epileptic drugs. Epilepsy has been described as Apasmar in Ayurveda according to Ludhiana-based Ayurvedic expert Gauhar Vatsyayan. Experts emphasise that for seizures during epilepsy the golden rule was not to panic.
