While the political powers in many states suggest measures and introduce policies to curb the use of crackers during the upcoming festive seasons to control the pollution crisis, the rising sale of firecrackers seem to be against these restrictions as the market sees an upsurge in cracker sales. People across Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Chandigarh and Rajasthan have reached out to Ludhiana's wholesale firecracker market amidst a ban on firecrackers in many states. The ban was imposed in the wake of fears of a possibility of the second wave of COVID19 pandemic due to the deteriorating condition of pollution in the country.
