Ludhiana August 12Fulfilling a long-pending demand of Muslims Mayor Balkar Singh Sandhu today laid the foundation stone of development works worth Rs 38.93 lakh at the Sherpur burial ground.
The money would be used to build a boundary wall rooms and to maintain the graveyard.
The Mayor was accompanied by Punjab Backward Classes Land Development and Finance Corporation (Backfinco) vice-chairman Mohammad Gulab.
